Rural Health Genetic Testing

Genetic testing for inherited cancer risk is offered in collaboration with Rural Health Medical Program, Inc, based in Selma, Alabama. This partnership, launched in 2022, provides free testing to patients at Rural Health Medical clinics. 

Patients at one of nine clinics located in five counties of the Black Belt have access to free testing thanks to funds from Alabama Power and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

Rural Health Medical Program Inc, nine clinics are located in Selma, Demopolis, Monroeville, Marion, Pine Apple, Thomaston, Camden, Uniontown and Thomasville. RHMP also recently activated their new mobile unit which will allow them to serve other members of the community located in rural areas of Alabama.
