“HudsonAlpha U” is the name for HudsonAlpha public education programs and resources. Cultivating genomic literacy is a strategic goal of both HudsonAlpha and the HudsonAlpha Educational Outreach team. HudsonAlpha U will help citizens understand genomics concepts in an engaging way; as well as bring new discoveries and biotechnology applications to life through in-person events and online resources.
HudsonAlpha U Nights are a series of evening events for a public audience. These events will be hosted by Kelly East, HudsonAlpha’s Vice President for Educational Outreach and held on the HudsonAlpha campus. Planned 2026 U Nights events include:

The HudsonAlpha Educational Outreach team publishes an annual Biotechnology Guidebook that summarizes key findings in the fields of genomics and biotechnology from the past year. Anchored in scientific literature, guidebook articles are written in way that is easy to understand by a general audience.
The HudsonAlpha Alumni Association is made up of individuals who support HudsonAlpha Educational Outreach through participation and financial contribution. Members receive early access to public education events as well as an invitation to the annual member appreciation event.
