Huntsville Hospital, HudsonAlpha and iRepertoire, Inc., announced this week a collaborative study to develop a treatment for COVID-19.
Institute and company leaders spoke with local media about how they will utilize local patients to study antibody response to the disease.
“There are other companies that that we know, Chinese, Japanese, European companies, working with a similar approach. So I think that fighting COVID-19 may be, before a vaccine becomes available, there are going to be different options to treating the disease,” said Jian Han, MD, PhD, founder and and chief science officer at iRepertoire, in an interview with WAAY TV.
