East Alabama Health is expanding the employee genomic health program it offers through The HudsonAlpha Health Alliance, LLC. This new component will offer pharmacogenomic testing to eligible employees and their covered dependents interested in learning more about their response to certain medications.

The HudsonAlpha Health Alliance, LLC and Auburn University announced today a new collaboration to provide genomic health screening to Auburn employees through the Auburn Pharmaceutical Care Center (AUPCC).

Starting next month, faculty and staff at Miles College in Fairfield, Ala. will have the opportunity to participate in genomic health screening through a collaboration with the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and the HudsonAlpha Health Alliance.

HudsonAlpha and The Links, Inc, (Greater Huntsville Chapter) will host two virtual events March 23 and April 6 at 6:30pm to discuss how genes can impact your health, healthcare disparities, and how genetic testing and participation in genetic research have the potential to improve cancer outcomes for African Americans.

Throughout the month of March, HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology will celebrate National Women’s History Month by raising awareness of gender inclusion, by honoring trailblazing women who inspire, empower, and educate.
