Faculty Investigator Jeremy Schmutz sat down with WAFF 48 to discuss how researchers are working to to make a better cotton through a series of research collaborations, grants and projects.
One project involves sending cotton to space.
“Nobody’s really done this before at this point,” said Schmutz. “So, it’s kind of a new territory for all of us, and we’d like to say we know exactly what’s going to happen to these and what we’re going to learn from it, but we don’t. It’s science.”
