Dr. Kimberly A. Strong
1970-2017
Kimberly Strong, PhD, founded and directed the HudsonAlpha Ethics and Genomics program. Dr. Strong also led the unique genetic cancer screening initiative Information is Power at the Institute. An accomplished bioethicist and researcher, she provided thought leadership across a variety of initiatives at the Institute and in the community.
For the last four years, she also was battling an aggressive recurrent breast cancer. Despite her declining health, she remained committed to her work and the mission of the Institute, and was reading, writing grants, and conducting research up until several days before her death.
She leaves behind a legacy of collaboration and friendship, brilliance and humbleness, selflessness and love.
Dr. Strong wished for her work to continue in bioethics and in breast cancer research. Please consider supporting her legacy.
