Major FDA funding “significant milestone” for HudsonAlpha associate company
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently awarded EGEN, Inc., one of HudsonAlpha’s 15 associate companies, a $1,600,000 four-year grant to support its ovarian cancer-fighting drug therapy. According to EGEN CEO Dr. Khursheed Answer, the funding represents a “significant milestone” in the Phase II clinical development of “EGEN -001,” the company’s lead product. Read more.

Local Parkinson’s group supports HudsonAlpha research
Research into Parkinson disease at HudsonAlpha received additional support on the heels of a $250,000 gift from Huntsville philanthropist John Jurenko. Fred Seeley, president of the Huntsville Parkinson Support Group, presented a check to Dr. Rick Myers during a recent visit to the institute. Read more.
