Welcome to Genes & Greens: The Tech of Plant Science. Genes & Greens is a dynamic two-week summer program at HudsonAlpha Wiregrass, where students will see first-hand how genetic research is shaping the future of farming by improving agriculture and protecting the environment.

- Genes & Greens will be held in a teaching lab at Dothan High School in Dothan, Alabama
- Students must be enrolled in 10th – 12th grade when they register (during the 2023-2024 school year).
- This program is open to all students across the Wiregrass region.
- The cost to participate in Genes & Greens is $275.
- Several seats will be reserved for need-based scholarships. We invite students with financial need to apply for a camp scholarship. A link to the scholarship application can be found below. Applications can be submitted between March 1-31, 2024. Scholarship awardees will be notified in early April.
