HudsonAlpha Educational Outreach team member Michele Morris was a guest for WERA Radio’s Education Innovations show on Saturday, May 27. The program, which airs on a local radio station out of Arlington, Va., explores the multiple ways that students learn by doing and make the connection between education and a future career.
Host Paula Lazor interviewed Morris for a show exploring careers in forensic science and biotechnology, and Morris took the opportunity to explain HudsonAlpha’s mission as well as Educational Outreach’s hands-on programs like Biotech Academy. Arlington Career Center Forensic Science Instructor Anne Cupero and APS high school student Pablo Wilson joined Morris on the show to discuss innovative lab projects, internships and other hands-on learning experiences that can pave the way toward STEM professions.
