Back reports – Screening is key as the state begins to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic

HudsonAlpha President and Science Director Rick Myers, PhD, spoke with about how safely reopening Alabama’s schools, universities and workplaces in the coronavirus pandemic means screening everyone who enters their buildings for weeks and possibly months.

“How do you actually collect that many?” Myers said. “You have to have a system, an infrastructure in place for collecting the samples and getting the tests done quickly while everyone stays home until they know.”
