iCubate officials plan to launch the iCubate system in 2010.  The automated system - for research use, only - utilizes the proprietary amplicon rescued multiplex PCR technology in a closed cassette. Each cassette is preloaded to perform a multiplex amplification and detection for research samples. (tem-PCR allows multiple targets to be amplified in one reaction.)  iCubate is the first technology-based company to spin out from intellectual property developed in the lab of a HudsonAlpha faculty investigator.
