HudsonAlpha is a non-profit organization seeking to make the world a healthier and more sustainable place through the power of genetics and genomics. As a non-profit, philanthropy is a critical part of supporting our scientists’s life-saving research. The Innovation Fund is a new fund that provides unrestricted resources to propel HudsonAlpha into the future. The fund supports HudsonAlpha’s most transformational programs, impactful breakthroughs, and pivotal opportunities.

HudsonAlpha is about discovery and finding paradigm-shifting ways to apply those discoveries. We have the unique ability to speed up the pipeline to discovery, put the answers we find into practice, and generate immediate and long term impact on the world around us.

Resources in the Innovation Fund are put to immediate use, rapidly impacting the Institute by supporting five key pillars of innovation: talent, technology, seeding, scaling, and training. These five pillars make up the building blocks that fast track ideas to solutions.

TALENT

Bright minds spark discovery. HudsonAlpha’s brilliant scientists drive discoveries into knowledge for real-world applications. By adding talent, we increase our capacity for research and impact. Investment in intellectual expertise is the driver of discovery.

TECHNOLOGY

Technological advances open doors. To explore and solve the world’s most complex questions in human health and agriculture, state-of-the-art equipment and technology is essential.

TRAINING

Significant solutions will come from the next generation. Talented students and post-doctoral fellows are the engine that powers our labs and a critical resource to accelerate breakthroughs. A skilled and diverse STEM workforce is the promise of the future.

SEEDING

New ideas lead to major breakthroughs. Philanthropy enables HudsonAlpha to rapidly and nimbly pursue promising ideas. Seed projects explore, test, and build new research programs that lead to novel solutions.

SCALING

Through the Innovation Fund, HudsonAlpha aims to:
