Philanthropy helped in part to fund the purchase of a new confocal microscope, chromium controller, and cell culture lab used in human health research

THE HERO FUND
Raised over $43,000 for the Hero Fund to support adults and children seeking answers for undiagnosed diseases at the Smith Family Clinic

Gifts made to Educational Outreach helped fund a new teacher externship program designed to support classroom lab instruction for AP Biology teachers in North Alabama

The 2022 Double Helix Dash 5K and twilight run raised over $42,000 for childhood genetic disorder research programs

CREATING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES IN STEM
Funded in part through philanthropy, the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA) HBCU Co-Op empowers HBCU students to intern in HudsonAlpha research and education programs
