*Field trip experiences are made possible through support from the City of Dothan. Funding is available for Alabama public schools and accredited private schools in the Wiregrass region (Houston, Geneva, Covington, Henry, Dale, Coffee, Crenshaw, Pike, and Barbour counties). This funding offsets HudsonAlpha-associated field trip expenses (materials & lunches). Transportation and substitute costs are excluded.
To qualify for funding, a minimum lab time of 3 hours is required for middle school groups and 4 hours for high school groups. There is a limited amount of funding available for each school year. Once funding is exhausted, schools can still schedule field trips at cost.
