HudsonAlpha is saddened by the loss of advocate, entrepreneur, business leader, and friend, Ashok Singhal, PhD.

Singhal was the principal founder of CFD Research, a research and development company specializing in engineering simulations, advanced prototypes, and innovative designs for aerospace, defense, life sciences, materials, energy, and other industries. The company is a HudsonAlpha resident associate company and headquartered in Cummings Research Park.
“I have a deep respect for what Ashok started and nurtured with CFD Research,” shared Jim Hudson, HudsonAlpha co-founder. “His contributions have made not only our Huntsville community, but also our world, a better place.”
“Ashok was an innovator and a leader in emerging technologies,” said Rick Myers, PhD, HudsonAlpha President, Science Director and M. A. Loya Chair in Genomics. “I greatly enjoyed engaging and collaborating with him on campus and I will miss him tremendously.”
In addition, Ashok and his wife Sangeeta have been avid HudsonAlpha supporters and champions since the early days of the Institute. We at HudsonAlpha recognize this loss will be felt across our community and we send our sincere condolences to the Singhal family.
