Registration open for “Recent Genomics and Biotech Discoveries” event at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology Feb. 24

Huntsville (Feb. 4, 2026) – The public is invited to learn more about the power of DNA and the dynamic field of genomics at a special educational event presented by HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m. Kelly East, HudsonAlpha Vice President for Educational Outreach, is the featured speaker. 

The “Recent Genomics and Biotech Discoveries” event will take place at the Jackson Center (6001 Moquin Drive, Huntsville, 35806). The event is free and open to the public but pre-registration is requested, as space is limited. Click here to register.

“We’re hosting this event to share exciting recent scientific discoveries and will focus on why these discoveries are important,” East said. “From human health to agriculture to archaeology, it’s important to understand how these new discoveries could impact our world.”

This informative event is one of a number of public education offerings presented through “HudsonAlpha U” to help the community understand science and how the power of genomics is used to improve life. “HudsonAlpha U” brings discoveries and biotechnology applications to life through in-person events and online resources. Additional “HudsonAlpha U” events featuring a variety of topics will be scheduled throughout the year.
