We’re looking for people with Parkinson’s disease interested in being part of a study that could help diagnose and monitor Parkinson’s disease.
WHAT IS THIS STUDY ABOUT?
Researchers from the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama are trying to find blood-based markers that could help diagnose and monitor disease progression in Parkinson’s disease.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
You would be contributing to an important study for the Parkinson’s disease community. Results from the study could be a game-changer for Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Adults aged 19 years and older diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
Adults aged 19 years and older who are unaffected biological relatives of or living with Parkinson’s disease patients.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
It only requires a simple blood draw at the Smith Family Clinic for Genomic Medicine, LLC., on the HudsonAlpha campus.
This is strictly a research study.
The results will not be returned to participants.
If we find a known causative genetic factor for Parkinson’s disease and you choose to receive that information, we will contact you for genetic counseling.
