HudsonAlpha Welcomes Two New Associate Companies To Its Campus

Nearly 50 companies sit on HudsonAlpha’s campus in Research Park

Huntsville — Polaris Sensor Technologies and Madison Core Laboratories opened offices at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology earlier this year.

“All of us welcome Polaris and Madison Core Labs to the HudsonAlpha campus,” said Carter Wells, Vice President for Economic Development at HudsonAlpha.  “We look forward to working together, integrating their teams into the HudsonAlpha ecosystem.”

Polaris Sensor Technologies is developing a novel method to disinfect and sterilize through a self-dispersing dry mist. The military and commercial use includes medical facilities, equipment and especially complex scopes with integrated optics and electronics. A similar chemical formulation has potential for agricultural use, and this team wishes to develop methods to envelop plants with organic pesticides. “The team at Madison Core Laboratories is excited to be joining the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology as an associate company,” said Carlo Crespo, M.D., Chief Executive Officer. “We find tremendous value and synergy with the mission of HudsonAlpha, and look forward to collaboration opportunities as we continually strive to provide the best advanced diagnostic care for our community and beyond.”

Madison Core Laboratories is also developing diagnostic tests in the areas of neuroscience, oncology and women’s health. For more information, visit https://www.madisoncorelabs.com/.
