HudsonAlpha hosted the annual Tie the Ribbons event on October 15, 2020 to raise funds and awareness of breast and ovarian cancer research at the Institute.
In addition, Sara Cooper, PhD, gave an update on the Information is Power initiative and how genetic testing can help you learn your cancer risk.
“Once you identify one individual that has for example a BRCA1 mutation, they can share that information with their family– who may also want to get tested and find out more about their risk.”
