The Economic Development office is responsible for developing global awareness of HudsonAlpha. The team also assists individual entrepreneurs and existing companies understand the business advantages of locating their bioscience company here on the 152-acre campus, along the largest Double Helix pathway in the world.

The institute partners with local, state, and national economic developers, site selectors, and government agencies to support the development of HudsonAlpha’s biotech campus as a premium life sciences destination. In addition to fostering bio-entrepreneurship, the Institute works with partners to strengthen policies and incentives for life science industry recruitment. Collectively, HudsonAlpha’s strategic partners help to promote the growth of a synergistic cluster of biotechnology talent, including both science and business professionals.

Alabama Department of Commerce

The State of Alabama offers a low general sales tax rate and a low corporate income tax rate. In addition, Alabama’s tax structure and statutory incentives provide a clear advantage for companies looking to grow in a business-friendly environment with a highly skilled workforce.

EDPA’s primary focus is to help Alabama attract and retain industry. EDPA fills a critical role in business attraction by marketing and promoting Alabama as a business location and providing information analysis and fact-based proposals to interested site selectors.

North Alabama International Trade Association

North Alabama International Trade Association, NAITA is a business-driven non-profit organization with the mission to promote economic growth through international trade education, training and networking.

North Alabama Industrial Development Association

The North Alabama Industrial Development Association (NAIDA) is an economic development organization that assists companies and site selection consultants with identifying available industrial property or office space in the Southeast.

Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County

The mission of the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County is to prepare, develop and promote the community for economic growth. The Chamber assists with locating and growing businesses by serving as a one-stop-shop for information on tax abatements, tax credits, and other grants and incentive programs for new or expanding businesses.

Tennessee Valley Authority

Power service in Huntsville and the surrounding seven-state region is provided by TVA, the largest government-owned power provider in the U.S. Additionally, TVA invests in communities and businesses to foster job growth and retention with financial and technical assistance, economic development incentives, and a multi-million dollar revolving loan program, designed to stimulate investment and job creation in the TVA region.
