The Alabama Genomic Health Initiative is a statewide effort to harness the power of genomic analysis in helping identify those who are at risk for diseases by providing genomic testing, interpretation, and counseling free of charge to residents in each of Alabama’s 67 counties.


SURE-GM is a 2-year summer program for outstanding undergraduates attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the state of Alabama who want to explore the potential of a career as a scientific investigator in the fields of genetics and genomics.

T32 Program

This training grant is an Institutional Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) T32 grant funded by the NHGRI within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), created to prepare postdoctoral trainees for academic careers in genomic medicine.
