The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology is accepting applications for early to mid-career faculty members to join a team of internationally renowned researchers committed to making impactful discoveries in genomics and genetics that improve human health and create a more sustainable world. HudsonAlpha is an independent, non-profit institution dedicated to developing and applying scientific advances in genetics and genomics to health, agriculture, learning, and commercialization.

Requirements:

The Institute is searching for candidates who leverage cutting-edge technologies, like single-cell analysis and long-read sequencing, to address important questions surrounding human health and disease. We are particularly interested in faculty complementing existing research and programs at HudsonAlpha, with key emphasis areas including computational biology and AI applications to genomics, single cell and spatial genomics, brain and nervous system disease genetics, and functional genomics. Early-career faculty members will have completed a Ph.D. and postdoctoral training. Mid-career faculty members will have held a faculty, principal investigator, or similar position in academia or industry.

Expectations:

The faculty member will build and sustain an independent research program that leads to impactful discoveries and technologies, recruit and advise trainees and professional staff, and work collaboratively with colleagues at HudsonAlpha and other institutions.
