Institute Work Supports U.S. Department of Justice
As demand by law enforcement and judiciary review increases for DNA evidence processing and analysis, the need for improvements in accuracy, robustness and sample throughput escalates. Studies currently being conducted by research scientists at HudsonAlpha, with funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, will ultimately form the basis for an analysis of instrumentation, technologies and protocol development. Study results may optimally leverage whole-genome, high-throughput DNA analysis as a method to alleviate DNA forensic backlogs and improve current forensic DNA analysis methods.
